What do school counselors do?
School counselors are educational specialists who are certified or licensed professionals with a master's degree or higher in school counseling. They help ALL students address developmental needs. Acting as student's advocate, the role of a school counselor is to provide and deliver a comprehensive school counseling program encouraging all students' academic, career and social/emotional development and helping all students in maximizing their student achievement.

How do I see my counselor?
- If you'd like to ensure your counselor will be available to meet with you, either schedule a meeting online on our Contact Us page or stop by the counseling suite and schedule a time to meet. You could even send your counselor an email if that works better. Your counselor is happy to meet with you, so you can discuss your schedule, college plans, or whatever your current needs might be.
- Some days are just rough. The Counseling Suite is a safe place for you to come to de-stress and breathe deeply. If you need to talk to someone right away, come on over. We'll connect you with someone who can help.
