Next Moves
2023-2024 Accomplishments
As we continue through the 2024-2025 school year, Xavier Catholic Schools would like to share our fundraising goals, but first, it’s fitting to recognize what your generosity helped us accomplish last year. The Xavier community generously donated in excess of $3.7 million dollars.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Annual Giving – Over $2 million was generated to balance the annual system budget. An additional $1.5 million was contributed to restricted use, including $412,800 to the Xavier Foundation, and nearly $275,000 for Xavier auxiliary organizations.
School Building Improvements – Among the many projects completed or scheduled for completion are: the new athletic turf field, a new furnished faculty break room, replacement of A/C units installed at Marquette, Xavier High and Middle schools. And painting updates throughout the High School.
Compensation Enhancements - Faculty and staff compensation enhancements were negotiated for all staff and included in the 2024-25 school year budget.
2024-2025 Goals
Next Move to Generate $4,400,400 in revenue
Annual Giving Goal – Generate $2.4 Million to ensure a balanced system Budget
Why? This amount is needed to meet our operating budget, above what is received in tuition, fees, parish investment to meet the total cost of a Xavier education.
How? Xavier achieves this goal through generous gifts to Celebrate, The Xavier Fund, The Xavier Foundation and Xavier Day, as well as through generous donations from friends and supporters throughout the school year.
Foundation Giving Goal – Generate $2.0 Million for the Xavier Foundation in the following areas:
Faculty and Staff Endowment - $1.5 Million
Academics and Technology - $200,000
Capital Improvements - $150,000
Establishing new funds and adding to existing funds - $150,000
Why? The Xavier Foundation is a vital source of revenue to the system and their yearly distribution of dollars provides income to the system budget. A well managed endowment sends a message of planned long-term stability, fiscal responsibility and ensures a sustainable future. The bulk of current Foundation Funds are primarily directed toward scholarship and tuition assistance and the system needs long-term funding to support Faculty and Staff, Technology, and Capital Improvements.
